My story.
Growing up and living outside Cleveland, Ohio for nearly all of my life, you realize that this small world does not revolve around the midwest and definitely not the west side suburbs of greater Cleveland. However, with family roots firmly planted, this is where I call home.
Although Cleveland winters are rough, our summers are world-class - hot and sunny. Being within a few short miles of Lake Erie you'll find 99.01% of summer fun activities revolve on or around the lake. The best times are found on the islands! First visiting Put-In-Bay in the early 90's, then Pelee, then Middle Bass and Kelleys... I was hooked. Ask anyone who has had the pleasure of visiting the Lake Erie islands during the summer and you will know why.
My wife and I have decided that Kelleys Island was the best mix between family fun / party time and have been obsessed with building our cottage there ever since. With this blog, my goal is to share our experiences with the entire cottage building process. I welcome your comments, questions, and ideas. Giddy-up...
