Furniture and stair railing

I brought Sophie and Neil up on Friday night and they love the mammoth huge pile of dirt that our neighbor has piled up as part of their foundation dig.

Continuing to furnish the living room. We got two new chairs and a few end tables. It's really coming together.

The big win for the weekend was me finishing the railing at the top of the stairs. The product is very innovative and I paired it with a semi-traditional poplar handrail. This looks great in person and gives you the nautical feel I was looking for...

Driveway done

Finally, the weather cooperated and Leach Excavating (and crew) were able to pour concrete and finish the driveway.

This is so nice, can't wait to park on it!

Front storm door

The day has finally come. Yes, the driveway is underway. Big thanks to Leach Excavating.

Trim and Stair landing

Productive weekend working on more floor trim and upstairs stair landing railing.

Trimmed out the kitchen island all the way around

Upstairs ceiling trim!

The upstairs ceiling trim was a huge blocker for me to be able to finish. With the help of Marc Byler construction, they rocked out the remaining trim (a lot), built an attic access door and polyurethaned the whole enchilada.

So friggin' happy to have this done.  

2022 - Opening weekend

The 2022 island season is now officially underway. I opened up both cottages with minimal issues. My buddy Reid McAdams came up for the weekend to hangout!
