Cleveland Cavaliers - 2016 NBA Champions!

On Father's Day, June 19, 2016, the Cleveland Cavaliers did the impossible and came from behind to beat the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals!

The city of Cleveland had gone 52 years without winning a sports championship and I have been waiting/hoping/praying for one for nearly 40 yrs since I was a little kid. The wait is over!

Anniversary/Father's Day

Bonnie and me celebrated our 18th Wedding Anniversary this past weekend with our annual day trip to Put-In-Bay. Then the family came up to Kelleys on Sunday for a Father's Day party.

Of course we stopped at our new favorite place - Mojito Bay. We got to listen to an acoustic three man band that played our requests all day long. The hanging rope-swing bar stools with sand underfoot is the best!

Lil Neil's Birthday

Lil Neil turned 5 on Saturday, June 4th. We had a breakfast birthday for him and then a proper family party on Sunday.

Memorial Day Week(end)

Holy moly, this was an 11 day island marathon that started with a bang. I was on vacation and had the party crew up for the weekend followed by the walleye crew and then Memorial day weekend with the family.

I did make it out on the boat one evening for some fishing. Here is a photo looking back at the Kelleys Island public beach.

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday we worked on staining the deck. This was a big job and took much longer than expected.

On Thursday, Tim and me worked on installing a center beam in the crawlspace. Not very fun at all.

Bonnie and the kids came up on Friday. I missed them all very much and we had a great weekend with awesome weather.

Mother's Day Weekend

Got the whole family up to the island for Mother's Day Weekend. I was able to plan nine trees on Saturday morning while be waited for Bob and Judy to arrive. The rest of the family came up on Sunday morning.

Here are the 4 "Crimson King" maple trees along the road. This is the first actual landscaping done at the cottage, much more to go. On Sunday, the family celebrated Mother's Day. The kids had a blast running wild all day long.

We had a nice mellow weekend. Weather was cool, but sunny and clear. Bonnie did some gardening, we hung out with the neighbors and played with the kids.
